01 / OVERVIEW

What Checkout Studio does, and where it fits.

Checkout Studio is a Shopify app that lets a merchant customise the checkout, thank-you, order-status and customer-account pages from one admin. Build a block in the app, place it in Shopify's checkout editor with a Block ID, and every later edit goes live without touching the editor again.

Under the hood it uses Shopify's own checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions, so it runs inside checkout at native speed and never injects scripts into your theme. Discount, delivery, payment and validation rules run server-side and work on every Shopify plan. Checkout-page blocks and the branding editor use surfaces Shopify reserves for Shopify Plus stores.

  • 29 blocks: upsells, trust badges, testimonials, countdown timers, custom fields, delivery date pickers, gift wrap, BNPL messaging and more
  • Rules engine with 36 conditions: show a block or apply a rule by cart value, products, customer tag, segment, market, shipping country and more
  • Discounts, delivery, payment and fraud rules built on Shopify Functions, on any Shopify plan
  • Checkout analytics, A/B tests, version history and translations for every store language

02 / FEATURES

Everything Checkout Studio does.

The capabilities merchants get from day one.

29 checkout blocks

Upsells that pay for the app

Checkbox, radio, carousel, campaign, free-shipping and line-item upsells inside checkout, plus a one-click post-purchase offer after payment. Every upsell reports its own impressions, adds and revenue.

Discount, delivery and payment rules

Order, product, Buy X Get Y, shipping and tiered discounts. Hide, rename or reorder delivery and payment methods. Block risky orders with 11 validation and fraud rules. All built on Shopify Functions, so they run on every Shopify plan.

Branding editor

Colours, fonts, buttons, logo and layout for checkout and customer accounts, with a live preview and ready-made brand themes. Synced to Shopify's Checkout Branding API. Shopify Plus stores.

Analytics and A/B testing

Checkout funnel, conversion rate, revenue, device and payment-method breakdowns, per-block revenue and AOV lift, all from our own web pixel. Split traffic between two block versions and let the numbers decide.

Targeting, translations and version history

Show any block only when 36 conditions match, including customer segment and Shopify Market. Translate every block into each store language. Every save is versioned and can be rolled back.

03 / USE CASES

Where Checkout Studio earns its place.

The situations it is built for, and what changes once it is running.

Checkout Studio: raise order value at the last step

Use case 01

Raise order value at the last step

Offer an add-on, an upgrade or a free-shipping top-up while the buyer is already paying. Radio upsells swap the line for the better variant. Post-purchase offers take one click and no re-entered card.

Checkout Studio: stop the orders you do not want

Use case 02

Stop the orders you do not want

Minimum and maximum order limits, blocked countries and postcodes, per-product quantity caps, disposable-email blocking, billing and shipping mismatch checks and order-velocity limits. Enforced on express checkout too.

Checkout Studio: show the right delivery and payment options

Use case 03

Show the right delivery and payment options

Hide cash on delivery above a value, rename "Standard" to "3–5 working days", pin the cheapest rate first, or hide a gateway for B2B customers. Rules run server-side on every Shopify plan.

Checkout Studio: make checkout look like the rest of the store

Use case 04

Make checkout look like the rest of the store

Match colours, fonts and buttons in the branding editor, add trust badges and reviews from your review app, and translate every block for each market. Roll back any change from version history.

04 / INTEGRATIONS

Works with the tools already running alongside your store.

Review ratings pull straight into checkout blocks. Everything else runs on Shopify's own checkout, so there is nothing to connect.

06 / FAQ

Questions we hear about Checkout Studio.

Straight answers, including the ones worth asking before you install.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

Not for most of it. Discount, delivery, payment and validation rules, thank-you and order-status blocks, customer-account blocks, post-purchase offers and analytics work on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. Blocks placed on the checkout page itself and the branding editor use surfaces Shopify reserves for Shopify Plus stores. The app checks your plan and tells you what is available before you build anything.

Will it conflict with my theme or slow down checkout?

No. Checkout Studio uses Shopify's checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions. Nothing is injected into your theme and no scripts run on your storefront. Blocks render inside Shopify's own checkout and rules run on Shopify's servers.

Does it work with my payment and shipping providers?

Yes. Rules act on whatever delivery options and payment methods your store already offers, including express wallets. You can hide, rename and reorder them by cart value, customer, location, product and more.

How long does setup take?

Install, pick a block from the gallery or a ready-made template, set its content and rules, then paste the Block ID into the app block in Shopify's checkout editor. First block live in about ten minutes. Later edits go live from the app without opening the editor again.

What happens if I downgrade or uninstall?

Downgrading never deletes anything. Blocks over your new limit stop rendering and extra rules switch off until you re-enable them. Uninstalling removes the app's blocks and rules from checkout and the app deletes your store data in line with Shopify's data-protection requirements.
