InnoGear — Multi-Category Consumer Electronics & Home Storefront on Shopify

A Shopify storefront for InnoGear, a consumer brand best known on Amazon for aroma diffusers, solar spotlights and microphone arms — here consolidated into a direct-to-consumer channel spanning five unrelated categories: essential-oil diffusers and oil sets, solar and motion-sensor lighting, microphone/webcam/tablet stands, artificial flowers and beauty products. The site leads with a ceramic-and-wood diffuser range and an all-in-one diffuser gift set, with a "Shop the Looks" lifestyle module linking styled scenes to products, a downloads page for product manuals, warranty and returns pages, and an influencer-collaboration route.

The brief

The challenge, and how we approached it

01

The challenge

A brand that grew on Amazon across categories with nothing in common — a diffuser buyer and a podcaster shopping for a mic arm never meet — needs a DTC home that doesn't read as a random warehouse. It also has to give people a reason to buy direct rather than from the marketplace where they found it, and carry the manuals, warranty and support that a marketplace listing can't.

02

Our approach

Lead with the category that carries brand identity: the homepage is built around the ceramic diffuser range and a diffuser gift set, with the electronics categories positioned as "other popular categories" beneath rather than competing for the hero. Navigation groups the disparate range into five clean trees — Diffuser, Solar Light, Stand, More, Support — so the mic arm and the artificial flowers each have a place without cluttering the primary experience. A "Shop the Looks" module converts lifestyle imagery into product entry points. The direct-channel value is carried in the Support tree: downloadable manuals, a warranty page, refund and exchange policy, and direct support email — the post-purchase infrastructure Amazon doesn't provide. An influencer partnership page opens a content channel.

What we built

Six capabilities shipped for Dana's Bakery

Each one solves a specific part of the brief above.

Gifting flow

Message cards, recipient addressing, scheduled delivery, gift wrap

Perishable inventory

Daily inventory sync with cold-chain capacity constraints

Drop-day performance

Theme architecture handles 20× traffic spikes without latency

Recurring orders

Holiday subscription flow for repeat gifters

How it ran

10 weeks build, in four stages

Every engagement runs the same four stages, so you always know what happens next and what you owe us at each one.

Stage 1

Audit and scope

We review the current theme, apps and analytics, then write a fixed-scope SOW with named deliverables and a date.

Stage 2

Design and build

Work happens in a dev store on a Git-backed workflow. You get a preview link from week one, not a reveal at the end.

Stage 3

QA and launch

Cross-browser and device QA, redirect map, analytics verification, then a launch window agreed with you rather than dropped on you.

Stage 4

Hypercare

Fourteen to sixty days of included post-launch support while real traffic finds the edge cases.

The outcome

Where Dana's Bakery landed

Conversion is up 2.1× after the PDP rebuild, AOV is up 34% year-over-year thanks to gifting upsells, and drop days are now smooth — zero downtime across 12 drops in the past year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Every drop day was a stress event before. Now they're just a Tuesday. The team built us infrastructure we can actually grow on.
