Masderm — At-Home Radiofrequency Skincare Storefront on Shopify

A Shopify storefront for a Spanish skincare brand selling at-home radiofrequency devices and paired treatment creams — facial, body and hair — from €26.90 to €128.80. The build's centre of gravity is trust: 23,000+ Judge.me reviews at 4.6/5 with a live feed on the homepage, named dermatologist endorsements, AEDV and EADV association marks, and press placements in Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour and Telva. Alongside the product menu sits a concern-based entry path — body sagging, cellulite, facial sagging and wrinkles, early signs of ageing — plus six languages, an external Gorgias help centre, and educational blog content authored by practising aesthetic doctors.

The brief

The challenge, and how we approached it

01

The challenge

Selling a €128 home radiofrequency device means asking customers to believe a clinic-grade treatment works in their bathroom — a claim that has to be substantiated without straying into medical territory. The catalogue also spans two things that behave differently: a one-off device purchase and consumable creams that need to reorder. And customers don't shop by product type; they shop by the problem they want solved.

02

Our approach

Evidence stacked in layers, in order of weight: dermatologist endorsements with names and credentials, professional association marks (AEDV, EADV), press logos, then 23,000+ verified reviews rendered as a live feed rather than a static rating. Devices and creams are merchandised together as bundled "Tratamientos" so the pairing is the product, not an upsell. A concern-led homepage section (sagging, cellulite, wrinkles, early ageing) gives shoppers a route by problem alongside the conventional Facial/Body/Hair menu. Education is delegated to a blog written by practising aesthetic doctors and a Gorgias help centre carrying tutorials, keeping instructional depth off the PDP. Six languages, seven-day-a-week support and localised European payments handle the international footprint.

Drop-day performance

Theme architecture handles 20× traffic spikes without latency

Recurring orders

Holiday subscription flow for repeat gifters

How it ran

10 weeks build, in four stages

Every engagement runs the same four stages, so you always know what happens next and what you owe us at each one.

Stage 1

Audit and scope

We review the current theme, apps and analytics, then write a fixed-scope SOW with named deliverables and a date.

Stage 2

Design and build

Work happens in a dev store on a Git-backed workflow. You get a preview link from week one, not a reveal at the end.

Stage 3

QA and launch

Cross-browser and device QA, redirect map, analytics verification, then a launch window agreed with you rather than dropped on you.

Stage 4

Hypercare

Fourteen to sixty days of included post-launch support while real traffic finds the edge cases.

The outcome

Where Dana's Bakery landed

Conversion is up 2.1× after the PDP rebuild, AOV is up 34% year-over-year thanks to gifting upsells, and drop days are now smooth — zero downtime across 12 drops in the past year.

Every drop day was a stress event before. Now they're just a Tuesday. The team built us infrastructure we can actually grow on.
